Not Call to Revolution

I hone you will not interpret all this
as a call to revolution or as a sign that
this particular member or the Establish-
merit now seeks to loin your councils oi
strategy tor plotting rebellion against his
middlesﬁged colleagues. i am too emnr
tionally and intellectually committed to
my own generation to behave in that
way. or as you mlght out it ungraciously.
too old and tired and probably useless i
am much more concerned about how we
can he our better selves in our natural
diiierences. We are each too complicated
to he understood completely by another
— or at least we should be e but we are
all involved in the anguishes and yoys ol'
the impertect human condition. and ac
cordlngly. can appreciate one another
and regard one another most or the time
with gentle nierey. Within such a con.
text. we can be critical or one another.
and even lose our tempers occasionally.
and still be constructive. still on the
